About YoungsolwaraWANSOLWARA is pidgin for One salt water. YOUNGSOLWARA are a new generation of Fijian students attending USP - The University of the South Pacific, Fiji, They are deeply concerned for and try to raise awareness about the genocide and inhumane treatment of West Papuans in their own homeland. While is seems like it is being ignored by the world, they lend their small but powerful voice to draw attention to the plight of West Papuans' oppression by Indonesian military state. Youngsolwara comes to OLGA in the hope that all our voices together can be heard in a new forum. Youngsolwara are in solidarity with the 'We Bleed Black and Red Campaign'. WEST PAPUA'S desire for sovereignty is a series of directive principles based upon the constitution of their forebears: The five National Goals and Directive Principles 1. Integral Human Development 2. Equality and Participation 3. National Sovereignty and Self Reliance 4. Natural Resources and Environment 5. Papua New Guinea Ways PAPUA MERDEKA! |
